Traveling to Cabo? Consider the Benefits of a Timeshare or Private Residence

Vacation is something that we always look forward to, but often, we end up feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and in need of space from the people we initially wanted to spend all that time with. The solution? Consider renting a timeshare or private residence from an owner. There are many benefits to this and will help lessen a lot of the stress that comes with the ‘vacation experience’.

Timeshare benefits:

  • Timeshares are located on resort properties and have full amenities to enjoy, like multiple pools, restaurants and bars, kids clubs (yes, please), gyms, and spa services
  • Kitchens—Eating out every meal can be annoying and monotonous after a while. With a kitchen and one trip to the store (or having someone deliver the groceries—you are on vacation after all), you will have a pantry and fridge full of food—think snacks, breakfast, lunch, pool nibbles, and beverages (adult and otherwise).
  • Typically has plenty of bathrooms (who doesn’t need that?)
  • Additional square footage –  many floor plans for timeshares are generous and provide the extra square footage you need to feel like you are actually on vacation. This extra space can be a welcome benefit.
  • Many units have a washer and dryer in the unit. This is critical when traveling with kiddos or those who love going to the gym!

Private Residence benefits:

  • A dedicated parking spot for your rental car – many private residences have a parking and/or garage space
  • Private residence rentals allow you to be in control and determine the cleaning schedule, what you want to do, and when.
  • Calling all adventurous souls! Private residences are great for people who like to get out and about. If you are often off-site, the convenience of a private residence is unmatched.
  • Swimming pools are often quieter and allow for peaceful relaxation (often with a view)
  • Hey families! 3 words… Washer and Dryer!
  • Most property owners have great local recommendations and/or have a property manager who can arrange everything for you (it’s like having your own personal concierge)
  • Don’t like to cook? Or maybe just don’t want to? Tired of eating out EVERY night? Private residences often have AMAZING kitchens! Consider hiring a chef to make dinners on the nights you would prefer to stay in. This experience is often much cheaper, and relaxing, than heading out on the town. You can work with your owner to schedule this in advance. This is especially useful when you have lots of bodies or multiple generations looking to spend quality time together.
